Mahlia Gonzales is a second-year Sociology student from Santa Maria, California, and part of the Basic Needs Communications Team. She is passionate about helping others and enjoys connecting students with resources that support their success. In addition to her role with Basic Needs, Mahlia serves as a SKILLS intern, where she assists AVID 12 students with research projects and college preparation. Outside of school and work, she loves spending time with friends and exploring new restaurants in the Santa Barbara area. Through her involvement on campus, Mahlia is dedicated to making a positive impact in her community.
