Pedrito Torralba is a CalFresh Peer Advisor with UCSB Basic Needs, where he helps students connect with resources for food security, housing support, technology access, and assistance with the CalFresh application process. He is committed to ensuring that students are aware of and able to access the resources they need to thrive during their time at UCSB. Before joining UCSB Basic Needs, Pedrito gained experience serving his community through his fraternity, Theta Nu Kappa Inc., where he developed a passion for supporting others and advocating for those in need. That commitment to community service inspired him to pursue his current role, where he continues to make a meaningful impact on students' lives. Pedrito is fluent in both English and Spanish, and his pronouns are he/him. He grew up in Bakersfield, California. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, photography, watercolor painting, and exploring fashion. He is majoring in History with a Pre-Law emphasis and minoring in Spanish.
