Yasameen is a Calfresh and Basic Needs Peer Advisor at the Basic Needs Center here at UCSB. She has been working for Basic Needs and serving the community for about a year now. Yasameen uses she/her pronouns and is fluent in both English and Farsi, her native language. She is from Rancho Cucamonga, California, which is about an hour East of Los Angeles. Yasameen is a History major and Religious Studies minor, and she hopes to go into the world of academia and teaching.
