Javier Bertin Lopez, he/him/his

Hi! I am Javier Bertin-Lopez, a junior at UCSB and the Halal and Kosher Grocery Program Outreach and Events Coordinator with UCSB Sustainability. This is my first year working with the program, where I assist students with inquiries about our mission and refer specific or sensitive questions to the appropriate team members. As the events coordinator, I specialize in event planning and manage the social aspects of the role, including designing flyers, Instagram posts, and other visual content. I am passionate about promoting wellness through nutrition and creating inclusive environments where all dietary needs are met. With experience in meal preparation and outreach, I’m committed to supporting diverse communities. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, scripting, and experimenting with new recipes. I’m excited to continue using my skills to advocate for health and nutrition across various cultural/religious backgrounds.
